Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists is an Access Partners in Property Company. Gunac have over 40 years of waterproofing experience working in both the commercial and residential spheres of the building industry.

Gunac has become one of the leading Waterproofing Applicators in the region. We work with some New Zealand’s biggest building companies and architects to help them design and specify the correct waterproofing solutions for their projects.

Business Unit Manager
Projects and Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists
After 22 years of managing my own construction company in South Africa, I decided to make New Zealand and Access | Partners in Property my new home. Starting at Access as a project manager was my opportunity to make a difference in the NZ construction industry. Eight months down the line, I grew into the role of Business Unit Manager, leading and facilitating the dynamic Gunac and Projects Team.
When I am not supporting my team to deliver the quality work we provide, you will find me enjoying the beautiful outdoors and magnificent fishing opportunities.
Silvana Guzzone
Operations Administrator & Scheduler
Every day is never the same, especially with the Gunac team.
As the Administrator and Scheduler, I am responsible for ensuring jobs are loaded and scheduled and the delivery team have all plant, information and equipment needed to deliver quality work for our clients.
Richard Redmond
Estimator
With over 30 years experience in waterproofing under my belt, I am usually the first on the site from the Gunac team.
My data to day comprises of inspecting a range of properties, from residential houses and complexes to large commercial buildings.
In my spare time, you will find me cruising and modifying my motorcycle collection.
Gustavo Braga
Project / Contracts Manager - Liquids
I joined Gunac in 2023, bringing my engineering background from Brazil and four years of waterproofing / construction experience in New Zealand. My knowledge, combined with our talented tech team, results in exceptional work. Together, we achieve more. When I’m not working, I can be found hiking in and around Auckland.
Doug Matheson
Project / Contracts Manager - Membranes
My background is in project and contract management, with over 30 years of experience in the waterproofing field. I am an author number holder and a licensed building practitioner (LBP). Prior to joining Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists in November last year, I had spent the last 14 years working in a similar role. When I am not working, you will find me riding my mountain bike and staying fit.
