Polygon Road | Deck Refurbishment

Access | Partners in Property with Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists had successfully completed this deck refurbishment project for a residential client in St Heliers.

 The works involved two properties situated on top of another. The bottom resident was experiencing leaks into his apartment. On inspection we found the waterproofing system above was failing as it reached the end of its lifecycle.  

 Gunac | Waterproofing Specialists was engaged to inspect and provide a thorough solution for the property owners. What started as a leak in our client’s house turned into a full deck refurbishment.

 Our team begun this 3-month project by removing the existing tiles and waterproofing. Following demolition works, the substrate was prepped. This involved screeding to form appropriate and code compliant falls. Following the preparation works, the Gunac waterproofing technicians applied Nuralite (3PM) which ensured watertight protection to this outdoor area. Works also involved installing new outlets, decks jaks, flashings and the like.

 The new membrane carried a 20-year warranty for product and 5 year warranty for workmanship.

New tiles were reinstated on the deck to achieve a new and welcoming space. The Projects team from Access | Partners in Property continued works on this deck by installing a new Louvre system, new joinery, and a new glass handrail system giving the clients a complete view of Rangitoto Island.

The owners were extremely satisfied with the finish.
